A more focused discussion on the logic of ‘when’ in the context of the ethnographic concern to frame specific questions through the use of the other pronouns, particularly ‘where’ and ‘with whom’. This threesome opens questions of temporality (beginnings and ends), space (physical boundaries), collectivity (polity).
