• Do you remember when you first did something you later discovered was "American"

• Do you remember when (and from whom) you discovered that you might actually "get to America"?
  • as worker
  • as immigrant
  • as student
• How did you learn about the requirements of entry into America?
  • When/how did you learn that it might not be appropriate to label the "United States" "America"?
