I got the 3 subway at the 145th street station. I walked south to 139th. With projects on the east side and pre-war buildings on the west side

Around 140th street an elderly lady asks "You must be a tourist" I do not respond right away (I was looking away) and she recasts the statemet as a question, louder. I say "yes." "Where from?" "HV: France" "good" "HV (smiling and pointing at the sky) it's a great day" "right."
